The Week of Tremors

Ok, Go Ahead, Let The Heaven Fall

How many heavens are going to fall in Pakistan in the coming days starting from 24th May (today)?  The current week should be recorded in history as a Week of Tremors.

Earlier, Mr. Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani announced in his power plant inaugural speech, in Gujranwala, that he had talked to the Chief Justice on telephone and told him that writing a letter to the Swiss government is a minor affair.

I thought some part of heaven will fall, but nothing happened.  I did not see or hear and comments from any political or media quarters about PM's this statement.  Nobody bothered to raise the point about the justification in his talking to the CJ on telephone and imposing his point of view.  Quite strangely, not the smallest particle of heaven fell.

Then Ms. Fauzia Wahab went beyond all the moral, ethical and religious limits making a blasphemous statement about Hazrat Umar (Razi-Allah-o-Ta'ala Unhu) and did her best to make the heaven fall.  But, will it fall?  Wait and see.

And now the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, has said that the system will become strong with the rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution. The CJ said the Constitution is the basic document, and it should be followed in all affairs, and he quoted the phrase “justice should be done let the heaven fall”.  (The News International)

Will the heaven fall now?  Only the Creator of heavens knows well.  The tremors have already been felt as the Monday morning is coming nearer.
