Fauzia Wahab - A Sinner, Grinner or Winner?

Pakistan People's Party's Secretary Information Fauzia Wahab's statement that the second Caliph of Islam Hazrat Umar (Razi-Allah-o-Ta'ala Unhu) was called to appear in the courts because there was no constitution available at that time has caused tremors in the serious intellectual and religious circles.

A number of religious scholars like Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Mufti Naeem and Ibtesaam Ilahi Zaheer, besides other intellectuals, have expressed stern views about her statement. Some called her a sinner!

I have been trying, since evening last night, to visualize how Fauzia Wahab would be reacting to her (blasphemous?) statement.  I can clearly see her face, with a meaningful and satanic smile that she usually wears during her talk-show appearances.  At least I have no doubt at all that if using a lie detector is compulsory during these talk-shows, she would never attend any, for deception and lies are all spread over her face when she obdurately blurts lies after lies.

Whatever the religious scholars say about her statement, she would have been honoured with a big white-teethed grin by her Messiah Mr. Asif Ali Zardari to be reciprocated with rather a bigger grin from her.  And in spite of lamenting over what she has done, she would be celebrating her courage and guts to speak such shameful words about the second Caliph of Islam who is held in high regards even by the whole Western world and considered to have possessed all the qualities of a true leader.

To scholars, she is a sinner.  To media, she is a grinner.  To her leader, she is a winner!
