Right or wrong is a separate issue A breaking news item on Yahoo News : Nigeria's president has suspended his nation's football team from international competition for two years after a poor showing at the World Cup. Special presidential adviser Ima Niboro told reporters the decision by Goodluck Jonathan will "enable Nigeria to reorganize its football." He said: "This directive became necessary following Nigeria's poor performance in the ongoing World Cup." There would be a lot of buzz in the football loving/promoting media and in FIFA too. There would be arguments in favour of the decision and against it. The reaction of Nigerian people is still unknown. Nevertheless, I take it as a correct decision. And perhaps we also need one of the two high-ups in Islamabad like Goodluck Jonathan who could take a bold decision, whether right or wrong.
