Fighting Energy Crisis?

Hats off to Bangladeshi government that issued a directive to all the government officials to hang their coats and three-piece suits in their wardrobes during summer. The step was meant to save energy by wearing simple Kurta-Pyjama that did not require to turn on air-conditioners.

But our shameless rulers do not even think about it. Our mohtaram Prime Minister is mostly seen in an expensive two or three-piece suit and he still ridiculously cries out loud about austerity measures.

Daily budget of President House is around a million Rupees and the same is the case with Prime Minister House. Just imagine three crore Rupees per month is simply consumed each by these two titans of democratic system. How much is spent on their security particularly on the weekly visit of (Syed) Yousuf Raza Gillani to Lahore.

The Chief Minister of Punjab has ordered to not use air-conditioners before 11:00 a.m. What nonsense? Who needs an air-conditioner before 11:00 a.m. and still he is under the mistaken impression of a successful, loved, respected political leader.

They should have at least followed our Bangladeshi brothers in dealing with energy crisis to lessen the hatred they themselves are sowing in the hearts and minds of the masses who have been sacrificing their basic rights for the survival of these Pharaohs.
